In May 2021, residents of Dearborn, Mich. gathered to show their support and mourning for the people of Palestine in the wake of numerous Israeli airstrikes. On May 18, a protest of thousands coincided with President Biden's visit to the city's River Rouge auto plant less than five miles away. Later in the same week, residents returned to the Dearborn Police station to honor Palestinian victims with a candlelight vigil.
